How would your company respond to a disaster such as the Tornado or Floods that crippled
Downtown Ft Worth and other areas?
What would you do if you couldn't access any of the files on your network? Do you have a
backup system? Have you taken into account every contingency when it comes to the most
important parts of your business?
Infiniti Technical will review your current backup system and provide suggestions for improvement,
or if you don't have one, we will recommend one that fits your specific application and budget.
Our technicians have the ability to implement backup systems utilizing tape, DAT, removable storage,
CDR/CDRW, DVDR in addition to online redundancy methods like clustering and RAID. We will create a
backup schedule and off site storage solutions so that you'll never have to worry about your data again.
Our Disaster Recovery Plan can include:
- Mirrored servers backed up daily and hosted in a carrier class data facility
.
- Preparation and posting of an emergency web site home page detailing contact information and emergency procedures and guidelines.
- Remote access enabling users to connect to the company network and work effectively from home in the event of restricted access to your building.
- Guaranteed priority response in the event of an emergency.
- Technical phone support for remote users
.
- Engineers dispatched to site to rebuild destroyed infrastructure.
Real World Scenerio When Katrina devastated the Gulf Coast and New Orleans in August 2005, federal officials said no one had conceived of such large scale destruction, much less planned for it. It seemed as if the scope and scale of Katrina had taken everyone by surprise.
It didn't. Our clients were completely prepared for such a large scale disaster. Infiniti Technical maintained a remote site for a group of attorneys in New Orleans . They were all against the added small expense of daily backups and storage.
After Katrina hit, most everyone from the New Orleans remote site that had moved to Dallas and Houston were amazed to find that all their network files from the NOLA site were ready for use. For the employees that were located in Houston and other places, they were still able to access all their files via a secure remote connection that had been put in place long before the disaster.
Our Emergency Response Team (ERT) had already kicked into high gear when the National Weather Service issued the Hurricane warning. The off site backups were increased from every 8 hours during business hours to every 4 hours. When local officials issued the evacuation order, backups were increased to every hour on the hour until everyone had evacuated.
